Below are some helpful educational links Dr. Bruce believes can provide useful information to his patients.

THE AMERICAN ORTHOPAEDIC SOCIETY FOR SPORTS MEDICINE

Ask the Doctor is a periodically updated feature of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Home Page. The site offers helpful information on such topics as Shoulder Injuries, ACL Surgery and Rehabilitation, Soft Tissue Injuries, Foot and Ankle Injuries, Skiing and Snowboarding Injuries, Overuse Injuries, Golfing Injuries, Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injuries, The Aging Athlete, The Female Athlete, Sprains & Strains, and Knee Injuries. The AOSSM is a national organization of orthopaedic surgeons specializing in sports medicine, including national and international sports medicine leaders.

AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ORTHOPEDIC SURGEONS

http://www.aaos.org
The home page of the AAOS is your source for the latest legislative, educational, healthcare policy, and research information. The site includes the by-laws and position papers of the AAOS, and the latest federal and state laws enacted that pertain to the practice of orthopedics and medicine.

ARTHROSCOPY ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA

Available scholarships and fellowships are listed. You can learn about the latest in arthroscopy research by searching lectures presented at previous AANA meetings.

THE NATIONAL ATHLETIC TRAINERS' ASSOCIATION

http://www.nata.org
The mission of the National Athletic Trainers' Association is to enhance the quality of health care for athletes and those engaged in physical activity, and to advance the profession of athletic training through education and research in the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries.

THE ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION

http://www.arthritis.org
For centuries men and women, young and old, have been affected by a disease about which little was known except for its symptoms. But in 1948, a group of scientists and physicians came together to take action against this condition called arthritis. Perhaps heartened by breakthroughs in medicine, this community of scientists envisioned a day when a cure for arthritis would be discovered and the millions of people with arthritis would no longer suffer. Their actions resulted in the formation of the Arthritis Foundation, now offering outreach and education at www.arthritis.org.
